One of whom must be Catholic, in good standing with the Church, and a registered member of the parish at least nine months prior to the wedding date. Catholics not registered at our parish are subject to a fee for wedding planning, service, and use of the church. First priority is given to registered parishioners. No wedding date will be confirmed until the Pastor or deacon has met twice with the couple to ascertain their readiness and ability to enter into a sacramental marriage. Marriage preparation includes attendance at a Pre-Cana program sponsored by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati or at an Engaged Discovery weekend; the use of FOCCUS (a communication inventory); several meetings with the pastor/deacon celebrant; program on natural family planning; meeting with our Director of Music and Liturgy for a planning session of the wedding Mass or service.
